Saving and exporting

Document files

A working document retains the layer structure and other editable data supported by its format. Save changes to the document before closing it or transferring it to another device.

Image export

Export produces an image with the selected dimensions, format, and transparency settings. A flattened export does not retain independent layers. Transparency is preserved only in formats that support it.

Import and transfer

Import an image as source material or transfer a working document between devices. Browser downloads and native file dialogs use the storage locations provided by the operating system.
