Layer setup

Reduce the sketch layer’s opacity. Create a line art layer above it, keeping the color rough separate.

Inking

Trace the contours and internal details with a pencil or ink brush. Adjust brush size, pressure response, and stabilization. Vary line weight to indicate overlaps and distinguish outer contours from internal lines.

Corrections

Hide the sketch to inspect the line art. Remove stray strokes and correct intersections. Separate line art by subject or material where it will need independent masking or recoloring.
