Input settings
Pen pressure, tablet mapping, gestures, and shortcuts.
Pen input
Pen pressure and tilt are inputs to brush dynamics. The pressure curve adjusts the response to applied force. Tablet mapping determines how the active tablet area corresponds to the display or canvas.
Shortcuts and gestures
Keyboard shortcuts, pen buttons, and touch gestures invoke editor commands. Assign controls for undo, tool switching, and canvas navigation. Pen and touch input can have separate assignments.
Input problems
Missing pressure, cursor offset, unintended touch input, and stroke latency can originate in the app, browser, operating system, or tablet driver. Check the relevant input settings for the device.
Platform-specific input
Input configuration varies by operating system and device.
Windows
Pen pressure, tablet drivers, and keyboard shortcuts.
macOS
Pen tablets, trackpad gestures, and Command-key shortcuts.
Linux
GTK interface, tablet mapping, and pen input.
iOS / iPadOS
Apple Pencil pressure and tilt, touch gestures, and external keyboards.
Android
Stylus pressure, touch gestures, and Android drawing tablets, including the Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14.
