App data
Capy Canvas processes drawings on your device and accesses files you choose to open or save. The app does not send your drawings or imported images to us. We receive files if you submit them with a support request.
Settings and website preferences are stored on your device. The web app also caches application files for offline use. Capy Canvas does not require an account.
We do not use advertising or usage analytics, sell personal information, or embed trackers that follow you across websites.
Hosting and diagnostics
GitHub hosts the website and web app and logs visitors’ IP addresses for security. Cloudflare provides DNS.
For store-distributed versions, we may receive crash reports and technical diagnostics from Apple, Google, or Microsoft. Reports may include device information, app and operating-system versions, and details of a failure. We use these platform-provided reports to investigate problems and improve stability. Collection and sharing depend on the platform’s policies and diagnostic-sharing settings.
Support and contact
If you contact us, we receive the username or email address, messages, and attachments you provide. We use them to respond and investigate reported problems.
Support through GitHub issues is public. Email correspondence is handled through Gmail under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Retention, security, and your choices
Local files and settings are stored on your device and can be removed through the available app, browser, or device controls. Public GitHub issues remain part of the project’s support history unless removed. We retain private correspondence as needed to handle requests, document responses, or meet legal obligations. Hosting logs and platform diagnostics are retained according to their providers’ retention practices.
The website and web app use HTTPS. Non-public correspondence and diagnostic reports are accessed through the providers’ account controls.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold by emailing the contact above. Requests are handled under applicable law. We cannot access or delete drawings stored only on your device. You can manage platform diagnostic sharing through the relevant device or platform privacy controls where available.
